Jester the Snail - a pincushion

I've made some basic pincushions - for my own use - in the past, but always desired to create an extra special one. And I've looked at many different patterns through the years, but never found one that truly inspired me. So, on 22nd June I was searching and browsing Etsy for patterns. This time I was searching for small fabric animals patterns, instead of pincushion patterns. I was so one-track-minded in my search that all I looked at, or noticed, when browsing the hundreds of patterns was: 1. the final size of the stuffed animal and 2. whether it could lie flat.

Then I saw this pattern; it fitted all my requirements and I bought it. Only afterwards when the pattern was downloaded and I opened it on my laptop I saw / noticed for the first time what the name of the snail was.... The lady who created the pattern called it "Jester"! My body went completely lame and with chills all over. After much inner deliberation I've decided to add this blog entry, because although I do NOT know the pattern creator at all, I do feel that she has helped me with more than just a stuffed animal pattern and therefore hopefully send some sales her way. Yes, I still struggle with the whole real-life Jester thing, to say the very least about it.

The first photo is of the snail I've made from that pattern and the last photo is of the pattern itself. Click here to go to this pattern on Etsy. There are so many incredible individuals in this world who has such unique products! If only we will support each other directly and far more...
